Super Sheep! Meet the Animals!
The Coalfield Heathland project is using rare breed livestock to for conservation grazing. Come and see these lovely animals and find out how they are helping to protect heath and grassland habitats.

The return of this popular wildflower walk around ancient haymeadows of Carr House Meadows reserve with SWT's ecologist to discover the plethora of wildflowers here. We'll be having a picnic afterwards so bring lunch. Meet at SK 282 954 on Carr House Lane at Brightholmlee (near Wharncliffe Side). There is a car park that is only open for events. Come and join SWT to tackle the 'unwanted' plants such as thistles and ragwort to help conserve these wonderful, flower-rich meadows. Bring a picninc lunch and enjoy the views of the Ewden Valley whilst toiling away. Mega bracken bash at Dowey Lumb, Moss Valley Woodlands, Sheffield
Join the Moss Valley Wildlife Group, the Three valleys project and Sheffield Wildlife trust in a mega bracken bash to help conserve this ancient remnant of wood pasture. We'll be cutting and raking the bracken on the Lumb. Meet at the top of the footpath on Hazelhurst Lane at SK 378 814 at 10.am (there is a small lay-by here) for both events, or meet us at the Lumb (SK 377 805) at 10.30 am

Batty about Newts
Join the Coalfield Heathland Project and local expert Dave Buttle for an evening walk and discover the fantastic creatures that make Wharncliffe their home. We should find bats, newts and maybe the elusive nightjar. Bring a torch if you have one. Meet at the bridge on Station Road, Deepcar by the Lowood Club SK 292 981.

Watch Group Meeting Dates
Wildlife watch groups are a great way to meet other children and find out more about wildlife. There are six Watch groups in Sheffield which all meet regularly to take part in activities ranging from bug hunts and walks to art attacks and even overnight camps.
If you would like to attend one of these Watch group activities, please phone the leader in advance to confirm times and venues.
