18 to 24 years old? Been out of work for nine months or more? Want to gain work experience in wildlife conservation, help protect the wildlife on your doorstep, and get paid for doing so? Then read on!

Opportunities include practical conservation roles such as habitat management and ecological monitoring, community and youth work, environmental education, and marketing and administration roles.
We have 50 paid placements on offer for young people aged 18-24 who have been out of work for nine months or more (39 weeks). If you haven’t been out of work this long, you can put your name down for the next intake in six months time.
Roles available at Sheffield Wildlife Trust:
• Conservation and Biodiversity Assistant – helping with practical conservation projects, ecological surveys and monitoring.
• Community and Education Assistant – helping with community events, educational activities and youth projects.
• Communications and Events Assistant – supporting the Communications and Marketing team.
• Business Development Assistant – supporting Wildscapes, a company providing environmental and ecological services.
• Administration Assistant – helping with general office duties.
Prior experience is not essential: all we ask is that you demonstrate a willingness and aptitude for the work.
