 Two Day Courses for Enthusiastic Learners

Work with experts to improve your plant identification and survey skills. No experience required. £99 per person per course.

Plant identification skills with wildlife experts

24th - 25th June, 9.30 am to 4.30 pm

A two-day, hands-on course to help you get to know your local flora in a range of habitats abundant in wildlife including woodland, grassland, heathland, wetland and watercourses.

 

Habitat Survey Skills

14th – 15th June, 9.30am to 4.30pm

Aimed at land managers, consultants, students who want to gain invaluable hands-on experience and anyone who just wants to know more, this practical course introduces Phase 1 Habitat Survey and the National Vegetation Classification (NVC) survey technique. 

 

Introduction to Hedge-laying 

15th -16th November, 10 am to 3 pm

Come and learn the ancient art of hedge-laying; how we can take a rough section of thorn hedgerow and form a living, stock-proof barrier using basic hand-tools.
