Working in Partnership

The only way to make a real difference for wildlife is to work with others, and the Wildlife Trust has some amazing and committed partners.

Some of them we work with every day while others generously fund our projects or contribute to our running costs.

Sheffield City Council is our main partner across Sheffield. We lease nine nature reserves from the Council and work closely with the Ecology Unit and the Parks, Woodlands and Countryside Ranger Service to improve Sheffield's parks and open spaces, and on vital works to protect and enhance biodiversity.

We are also working extensively with Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council, particularly on Centenary Riverside, our innovative urban wetland park which is part nature reserve, part natural flood defence.

Together with our partners, and with the support of the local communities to whom we are ultimately responsible, we are helping to make Sheffield and Rotherham better and greener places to live - for wildlife, and for people.
