By joining the Wildlife Trust today you can help care for the wild places you love, preserving them for the wildlife that depends upon them, and for people to enjoy, both now and in the years to come.
As a member of the Wildlife Trust for Sheffield and Rotherham, you will receive Kingfisher 3 times a year. Packed full of local news and events, it's an informative and enjoyable read.

Would you like to join Sheffield Wildlife Trust and help us protect and enhance our local wildlife and green spaces? We have six kinds of membership for you to choose from:
Individual Membership
Individual membership starts from just £2 a month, or £24 a year (concessions £12).
For this, members receive:
- Three Annual Mailings packed full of wildlife information
- Information on where to go and what to see on our ten nature reserves
- Free wildlife events and activities, including local Wildlife Watch clubs for children
- Opportunities to support national campaigns
- A chance to influence the work of SWT and make your view count
- Free information packs on wildlife gardening (upon request)
Joint Membership
Joint membership starts from just £2.50 a month, or £30 a year (concessions £15).
For this, joint members receive:
- Three Annual Mailings packed full of wildlife information
- Information on where to go and what to see on our ten nature reserves
- Free wildlife events and activities, including local Wildlife Watch clubs for children
- Opportunities to support national campaigns
- A chance to influence the work of SWT and make your view count
- Free information packs on wildlife gardening (upon request)
Family Membership & Watch Membership
Family Membership (for up to two adults and four children at one address) starts from £2.50 a month, or £30 a year.
A stand alone Wildlife Watch membership starts from £10 for one child or £12 for up to four children at one address.
Family members have automatic membership to Wildlife Watch, our special clubs for children.
As a Wildlife Watch member you will recieve:
- A fantastic welcome pack containing membership card, badge, and groovy stickers
- Four mailings a year of Wildlife Watch magazine, containing puzzles, competitions and exciting things to do, and a Wildlife poster
- Our local Watch It newsletter, containing information about what local groups have been getting up to
- Pocket-sized ‘Wildlife Watcher's Handbook’ guide
- Opportunities to meet other members in Watch groups
- News about special events and Watch camps
- A chance to collect Action Badges for a Watch Gold Award or Watch Starlets
- The chance to take part in nature survey research work
As a family member you will receive all the benefits of individual / joint membership as well as all the Wildlife Watch materialslisted above.
Watch membership is suitable for children aged 5 to 13 years. Wildlife Watch is an exciting way to explore your surroundings and get closer to the wildlife you share it with.
School / Group Membership
Join as a School or Group from £40 per year.
As well as the knowledge that you are helping the local branch of the UK's largest wildlife conservation partnership, you will receive a range of benefits, including a voucher for £20 off a schools visit with Sheffield Wildlife Trust.
As a member your school/group will also receive:
- The award winning Natural World magazine, containing news/views on national wildlife issues (3 times/year)
- Kingfisher magazine, containing local wildlife and regeneration news and events (3 times/year)
- Latest updates on what's happening at SWT's nature reserves, plus details of how you can get involved
- Watch Word - children's magazine (3 times/year)
- Wildlife Extra with posters and newsletter (3times/year)
- Link magazine - a leader's resource with ideas for children's activities
- Regular email updates of Sheffield Wildlife Trust schools projects
- INformation and support to run an associate Watch group (Watch is the junior branch of the Wildlife Trust)
- Regular information on special events, from guided walks to talks and short courses
