True Bluebells events

A series of events, suitable for a range of ages, has been scheduled for our True Bluebells project. 

Fred Rumsey NHM - All About Bluebells

Bluebell Family Fun Day

Bluebell Walks at Spring In The Woods

Woodland Discovery Centre, Ecclesall Woods

Join us at Spring In The Woods event at Ecclesall Woods to learn about native British bluebells and the threats that they face from Spanish invasives.

Walks are every hour on the half hour from 10:30am – 2:30pm: walks start at 10.30am, 11.30am, 12.30pm, 1.30pm and 2.30pm. Each walk will last approximately half an hour. For more information, click here

Identification and Training Workshops 

Over the coming months, the Nature Counts team will be working with a host of experts to deliver a suite of identification workshops. 

Bird ID and Survey Walk, Wyming Brook

Come and join our Nature Counts team for a guided bird ID and survey walk.

Aimed at beginners who want to be able to identify common birds by sight and song and who are interested in recording birds on their local patch and submitting records. To book, click here

Identification of Freshwater Invertebrates

A day with Stuart Crofts learning how to recognise the main groups of invertebrates found in our local water bodies and how to use identification keys. An ideal course for beginners as well as experienced recorders. To book, click here

Sheffield Bird Study Group

Sheffield Bird Study Group run a variety of talks, meetings and trips open to both members and non-members on a temporary membership basis. Indoor meetings are usually held at 7:15 p.m. on the second Wednesday of the month in the Sheffield University Hicks Building, with local field trips held across Sheffield.
