Peer Education

At secondary school, young people are starting to lead more independent lives and it is important that they understand the choices available to them and the implications of their decisions.

Yet, many interventions are about enforcing change rather than enabling informed choices. Sheffield and Rotherham Wildlife Trust has developed an innovative approach to education - supporting young people to understand the choices available rather than forcing new ideas on them.

We have a significant track record in delivering youth projects using recognised partcipation techniques and empowering young people. Please check out the film below which shows a peer education programme funded by the Big Lottery, Local Food programme.

We are now focusing on developing this approach to cover many more topics such as heritage and environmental citizenship.  Please contacts us via email or on 0114 263 4335 to discuss the various options.
