Get up close and personal with Brilliant British Bugs for British Science Week this March

Celebrating British Science Week is a great way to get schoolchildren practising a few scientific enquiry techniques.

If you’re struggling for ways to get involved, why not check out their primary resource pack? We especially love the idea of the ‘Augmented reality mini beasts’ activity for primary schools!

To celebrate British Science Week this year, we’re offering your school the opportunity to get up close and personal with the Brilliant British Bugs that live in your local ponds, rivers, woodlands and discover what could and does live there and how they’re adapted to their unique environment.

Your class will get to practice their scientific enquiry skills, using classification keys, making predictions, recording data and drawing evidence-based conclusions about two different habitats they can find right on their doorstep.

This is all made possible thanks to the brilliant players of People's Postcode Lottery.
