Thanks to players of People's Postcode Lottery we get over 3,500 children and young people outside every year

Sheffield and Rotherham Wildlife Trust has received valuable funding from players of People’s Postcode Lottery which enables us to offer pupils and teachers across South Yorkshire great value outdoor learning.

Everything we do is supported by this valuable funding, enabling more and more local schools to get outside the classroom.

Learn from other teachers, share your experiences

Teachers at the Trust's outdoor learning networkWe also want to see South Yorkshire, home of the Outdoor City, foster a culture of great outdoor learning in schools: so this funding also enables us to run an outdoor learning network for schools and teachers in the Sheffield area.

This network, which is also supported by schools improvement body Learn Sheffield, gives teachers a chance to learn from schools already doing great outdoor learning themselves, and to take inspiration and top tips from experts in the field.

With termly meetings and lots of resource-sharing and discussion between meetings, the network is a must for any teacher who wants to do more outdoor learning, or share their experiences with other educators. Click here to find out more and sign up.
