About the role
We’re working for nature’s recovery across Sheffield and Rotherham.
The Sheffield Lakeland lies to the north west of Sheffield on the edge of the Peak District and is an outstanding example of a living landscape, rich in history, with diverse habitats abundant in wildlife, vibrant communities and strong traditions.
As Assistant Community Wildlife Ranger you’ll be delivering nature based activities that support individuals to connect to and care for this special landscape. This will include supporting family events and school activities, leading small scale practical projects with volunteers, engaging with visitors and enabling communities with less opportunities to access nature to explore the area.
With demonstrable experience working in a similar role for at least 1 year we’re looking for someone with a friendly positive approach and the ability to work supportively with a wide range of people.
Some weekend and evening work will be required.
Interested candidates may also wish to apply for the Landscape Connections Project Officer role.
