About the role
Could you bring your marketing & communications experience to make a difference for nature?
We are building our team of the South Yorkshire Woodland Partnership (SYWP) to deliver high quality woodland creation and tree establishment in South Yorkshire. This is an extremely exciting time for the Trust as we take the opportunity to contribute to the increase in woodland and tree cover in South Yorkshire and see the natural capital benefits this brings to people and wildlife.
Your focus will be to co-ordinate and deliver effective multichannel marketing communications to target key audiences in support of the Partnership helping to significantly increase woodland cover across the region. This will involve engaging private land owners as well reaching the wider public to promote the benefits and progress of woodland creation, associated projects and the work of the SYWP and its partners.
You’ll take a lead role in developing & managing the Partnership’s communications resources as well as designing and implementing a social media strategy. As you would expect it will be important to work well with others to ensure coverage across all of the Partnership’s work, including community engagement projects.
The post holder will work closely with SRWT’s Marketing & Comms team to ensure consistency of relevant branding and messaging on all communications, materials and at events. The post will be based in Sheffield with the Sheffield and Rotherham Wildlife Trust but active throughout South Yorkshire region within the Northern Forest area.
With enthusiasm and experience in a similar role you’ll be well equipped to develop and create marketing and communication content across a range of channels. You’ll be confident in using social media and email marking to optimise our communications and be able to adapt messages to different target audiences. Your excellent writing, editing and storytelling skills will generate interesting and engaging stories that will bring the programme to life.
