Join Dr. William Bird for an evening dedicated to nature, health and well-being: Why it matters now more than ever, and the importance of companionship and contact with nature. The event will be hosted on Zoom on Wednesday 8th June at 7pm.
Dr. William Bird MBE is CEO and Founder of Intelligent Health, GP, creator of Green Gyms, Beat the Street & Health Walks. He is a regular GP on BBC breakfast & passionate about nature and health, and creating active, engaged communities.
William developed the hugely successful Beat the Street programme which has encouraged more than 500,000 people across the world to get moving and improve their health. William’s leadership has grown the company from just three employees to an innovative industry leader in promoting physical activity.
He is currently advising Public Health England and Department of Health regarding physical active training for health professionals and Green Social Prescribing respectively.
He was awarded the MBE for services to physical activity and health in 2010. In 2015 BBC wildlife magazine voted William in the top 30 most influential conservationists in the UK. The Independent on Sunday put him in the top 100 people to make Britain happy!
