Fancy making some giant spider webs to escape from? Learn some bat facts? Maybe have a broomstick race or two? This and more fun can be found at GRENO WOODS WILD PLAY. They are perfect for children approximately 3-9 yrs. Younger siblings may attend for free with a paying child but we don’t expect them to participate (because the activities are not aimed at their age group).
You only need to book a ticket for the participating children, but adults must stay too. Although we’re in the woods, its best to leave your dogs at home please.
Booking is essential using the online form on this page. Booking is complete once payment has been made.
Parking and Meeting: You may park for free in the Forestry Commission car park, located on Woodhead Road (on the left side as you go up the hill). If it’s full you may park on the main road, but do so safely. The Wildlife Trust Leader will meet you in the car park. We set off on our adventure as promptly as we can, so try to arrive on time so you’re not left behind!
Come prepared: The event is 2 hours and is totally outside whatever the weather, so prepare for woodland conditions!
Please note that the woods are not accessible to wheelchairs or push chairs. The ground is rocky and uneven in places, with many obstacle to negotiate.
The activities take place across the main road in Greno Woods in case you do arrive late.If you have a question, please call 0114 263 4335 or email playwild@wildsheffield.com
