Are you interested in learning a heritage skill? This 1-day training for beginners will provide you with a basic understanding of the tools and techniques used to traditionally maintain hedgerows.
We are delighted to offer this free training opportunity. Tools, a hot drink and biscuits are provided. No previous skills required. Unfortunately this opportunity is only available for people over 18.
All we need from you is that you bring a drink, snacks and a packed lunch and that you wear loose-fitting warm outdoor clothing and stout footwear. We have spare raincoats and safety boots you can borrow for the day if you tell us in advance.
This free training is part of the Species Stacking the Shire Brook Valley. This project is funded by the Government’s Species Survival Fund (SSF). The fund was developed by Defra and its Arm’s-Length Bodies. It is being delivered by The National Lottery Heritage Fund in partnership with Natural England and the Environment Agency.
