Join us for an evening dedicated to swifts with special guest Sarah Gibson and chaired by Liz Ballard, Chief Executive of Sheffield and Rotherham Wildlife Trust.
Published in 2021, Sarah is the author of Swifts and Us – a fascinating story of discovery; exploring what is known about these mysterious birds, their ancient ancestry, and how they have been regarded through history.
There will also be an opportunity to find out about the wonderful work of our local swift groups and hear how you can get involved, take action and help us work together to make Sheffield a swift city!
This event will be held on Thursday 7th July at 7pm at the Pennine Lecture Theatre, SHU City Campus, Howard Street. Refreshments will be provided. Tickets must be booked in advance.
Suggested donation of £5. All proceeds after the event costs will go towards conservation work in our area.
Thank you so much for your kind donations. As a charity, your contribution goes towards making Sheffield and Rotherham a greener, wilder place for wildlife and communities. Thank you.
