Temporarily Cancelled due to Lockdown. Regular volunteer days on site – join us at 10 am and stay for an hour or the whole day – whatever help you can give is appreciated.
Practical volunteer days at Centenary Riverside are held on the second Monday of every month. If there is a Bank Holiday it will be moved to the following week. Tasks vary from footpath improvements and access work, to habitat and vegetation management. All volunteer days start at 10am and finish at 3pm – make sure you are at the meeting point by 10 am or you might not be able to find us! Gloves and tools are provided, but please wear suitable outdoor clothing and stout boots. Bring a packed dinner and a drink if you would like to stay on site all day.
Please book on to our Volunteer Work Day a minimum of 4 days before the event is scheduled. This gives us enough time to process the volunteering forms. People who don’t have an up to date volunteering form will unfortunately not be allowed to join us on site. Please don’t volunteer with us if you have any symptoms of Covid 19. Once people are booked on we will let you know the meeting point for the site day.
For more information please contact Rachel Stevenson, Community Wildlife Ranger, at nature.reserves@wildsheffield.com or on 0114 263 4335.
Please get in touch if you wish to bring young people so that we can make sure that the work and tools are appropriate.
