Temporarily Cancelled due to Lockdown. Regular volunteer work days on site – join us at 10 am and stay for an hour or the whole day, whatever help you can give is appreciated.
Practical volunteer work days at Wyming Brook & Fox Hagg are held on the first Tuesday of every month, and third Sunday of every other month (January, March, May, July, September, November). Tasks vary from footpath improvements and access work, to habitat and vegetation management. All volunteer days start at 10am and finish at 3pm – make sure you are at the meeting point by 10 am or you might not be able to find us! Gloves and tools are provided, but please wear suitable outdoor clothes and boots, and bring some lunch and drinking water if you’re able to join us for the whole day.
We will give out the meeting point to the attendees once they are booked on. We need people to book on a minimum of 4 days before the event so there is enough time for you to fill in our volunteering forms and our workers have enough time to process these forms before you come to site. People who haven’t filled in our volunteering forms will not be able to volunteer on site with us. Please do not attend if you have any symptoms of Covid 19.
For more information please contact Rachel Stevenson, Community Wildlife Ranger, at nature.reserves@wildsheffield.com or on 0114 263 4335.
Please get in touch if you wish to bring young people so that we can make sure that the work and tools are appropriate.
