We will be meeting as a group again now that COVID restrictions are lifted – Yay!
Do your children love playing and exploring outdoors?
Come and join us for a fun packed family Wild Play adventure with activities linked to its history, such as hunting techniques (no animals harmed of course), building dens and games and exploration. You can secretly learn a bit about the woodland’s history at the same time too. Suitable for approx 4-9 yrs. Younger siblings may attend for free with a paying child.
You only need to book a ticket for the participating children, but adults must stay too.
The event is 2 hours and is totally outside whatever the weather, so prepare for woodland conditions. We set off on our adventure promptly so please make sure to arrive on time so you’re not left behind!
Booking is essential using the online form on this page. Booking is complete once payment has been made.
Facilities and parking: There are public toilets and a car park at the Discovery Centre. If it is full, we politely ask you NOT to park on any roadside verges on Abbey Lane, please park around the corner on Whirlowdale Road, and walk to the entrance. Allow an extra few minutes for this.
COVID safety: Although legal restrictions on numbers of people have lifted, we will still maintain some social distancing, use clean equipment and supply hand sanitiser for everyone’s protection. If you feel happier wearing a mask or distancing a little further, please feel free to do so. Do not attend if you have any COVID symptoms or have recently had a positive test, in line with government guidelines.
