Take action for wildlife
Sheffield & Rotherham Wildlife Trust campaigns on local issues that put wildlife and its habitats in our area at risk.
We campaign on issues such as Smithy Wood, illegal wildlife persecution and intensive land management on our moorlands, as well as influencing policies and strategies that impact on wildlife and conservation at both a national and local level.
We also engage in consultations about planning policies that will shape our local environment (e.g. the National Planning and Policy Framework, Sheffield and Rotherham’s Local Plans) as well as monitoring and responding to planning applications that may include a threat or opportunity for wildlife.
