Join us at Sheffield’s COP26 climate march!

On Saturday 6th November, Sheffield’s COP26 march and rally for action on climate change is taking place, alongside many others in the UK and across the world on the same day.

We’ll be there – and we’d love you to join us and add your voice too!

Assembling at 12pm on Devonshire Green in Sheffield, the march will set off at 1pm through the streets to Sheffield City Hall for a rally from 3pm.

Sheffield Green Parents are coordinating a nature and biodiversity bloc in the march itself, and we’ll have a stall at Barker’s Pool with information about the issues for wildlife and what people can do to help nature’s recovery.

If you’d like to join the nature bloc in the march, join the meeting place at the Skate Park wall at Devonshire Green at 12.30pm, then assembling in the march from 12:45pm.

The march is being organised and hosted by Sheffield Climate Coalition Umbrella Group. For more information, click here. If you would like to volunteer to help steward the march, please email Sheffield Climate Coalition Umbrella Group at sccugroup@gmail.com

We will also have stalls at two locations on the day, where you can find out more about our work and Nature Recovery Sheffield.

Sheffield & Rotherham Wildlife Trust will have a stall at the rally site at Barker’s Pool where there will be music performances and inspiring speakers, including our Chief Executive Liz Ballard.

We will also have a stall at an event at Kelham Island Museum 11am – 4pm, organised by Sheffield City Council and Kelham Island and Neepsend Community Association. The theme will be nature and will showcase sustainable things already happening in Kelham Island and around Sheffield.
