• Local people stand up for wildlife

    Local people are standing up to fight for the protection of wildlife in Sheffield and Rotherham after recent research showed that 60% of wildlife species are declining - with 1 in 10 at risk of extinction. Scientists working side-by-side with 25 wildlife organisations compiled a stock take of our native species called State of Nature that revealed the chilling reality of the condition of our natural environment.

  • Great galloping at Greno

    New bridleway, Greno Woods

    The Wildlife Trust for Sheffield and Rotherham have recently completed a section of new bridleway creating a 3km loop around the site. The project was funded by Natural England’s Paths for Communities programme in partnership with Sheffield City Council, the Local Access Forum, Grenoside Conservation Society and contractors Biketrack.org.

  • Lady Canning’s Plantation - New Bridleway through the Woodland
