Greno Woods is our largest nature reserve of beautiful woodland with tracks and trails throughout. Perfect for a lovely wild outdoor learning destination for all ages.
Suitable for: Primary workshops – all workshops and forest school, except Rivers and Wetlands
Facilities: Waterless toilet, outdoor shelter with seating, enchanted trail obstacle course, pond, fire pit, on-site coach parking.
Access: This site is not wheelchair accessible due to the rocky and uneven surfaces of the woodland. Our sessions take place away from the main paths. We want to be as inclusive as we can for anyone with additional needs or limited mobility so please ask if you want more information or to visit the site.

Set in the extensive and beautiful Ecclesall woods, the Woodland Discovery Centre is the perfect destination for your Outdoor Learning experience. It has a range of hireable spaces and facilities suitable for most groups.
Suitable for: All workshops except Rivers and Wetlands
Facilities: Indoor toilets (including accessible toilet), outdoor shelter with seating, indoor lunch room, pond, fire pit, cafe.
Access: This site is not wheelchair accessible due to the uneven, muddy and rocky surfaces of the woodland. Our sessions take place away from the main paths. We want to be as inclusive as we can for anyone with additional needs or limited mobility so please ask if you want more information or to visit the site.
Cost per child: £6 half day, £8 full day, plus site hire between £15 and £200 per day depending on your requirements.
Centenary Riverside is a hidden gem in an urban jungle with the River Don, meadows, lagoon and pond. Located in Rotherham, this site is a fabulous example of how habitats and flood management can be created from a dirty factory site.
Suitable for: Exploring Wetlands (KS1 & 2) and Flood Management (KS3)
Access: The majority of this site can be accessed by wheelchair users, though the session would need to be slightly adapted, for example a chair can’t currently get close to the pond. However, we want to be as inclusive as we can for anyone with additional needs or limited mobility so please ask if you want more information or to visit the site.

Cost per child: FREE
Low Hall Wood, part of Greno Woods, a beautiful secluded broadleaved woodland with our own river for exploring.
Suitable for: River Studies only
Access: The site is not accessible for wheelchair users or those with limited mobility. To access the river, we traverse a narrow footpath style as well as steep and muddy areas, plus the river itself and its steep banks. We want to be as inclusive as we can for anyone with additional needs or limited mobility so please ask if you want more information or to visit the site.
Cost per child: £6 half day
If you know of a local space we can use, we’re happy to come to you. We prefer woodlands but parks and fields could work too. Let us know where is local to you.
Suitable for: Natural art, seasons, woodland fun (no fires permitted)
Sheffield City Council sites may incur an additional site use fee of £15-£30
Save on travel costs by letting us come to you! We bring all the equipment we need, and you get the comforts and familiarity of school grounds.
Suitable for: The stone age, super seasons, natural art, habitats (without pond) and woodland fun. The amount of green space and nature you have may determine what is possible.
To help cover our travel costs, a small fee of around £10-£15 may apply if you are more than a few miles from Sheffield city centre.
