Making the environment part of your business

The Wildlife Trusts play a very important part in protecting our natural heritage. I would encourage anyone who cares about wildlife to join them.

Sir David Attenborough, Vice President of the Wildlife Trust

We are all becoming increasingly aware of environmental degradation and how it is impacting on our lives as well as on wildlife. Loss of natural habitats and wildlife is occurring at an unprecedented rate. In the UK we have already lost over 100 native species in the last century, and many more are now on the brink of extinction. This loss is mainly as a result of human pressures on our environment.

The Wildlife Trust for Sheffield and Rotherham is the biggest voluntary sector nature conservation and environmental regeneration organisation in South Yorkshire, with over 5,000 members. We are working to protect and enhance our local environment for the benefit of people and wildlife.

The ‘Living Landscape’ is our environmental rescue plan for nature which aims to restore damaged and fragmented habitats, and reconnect them to other existing green spaces within our towns and cities, allowing wildlife to flourish.

By joining us today your contribution will help fund our vision and allow us to connect with the community of customers, employees and associates which your business deals with.

As a corporate member you will have:

  • Excellent PR opportunities
  • Access to environmental consultancy expertise
  • Opportunities to include your employees
  • Sponsorship opportunities
  • Use of the Trust’s logo
  • Invitations to networking events
  • A framed membership certificate
  • Three issues of Kingfisher and Natural World magazines per year
  • Nature reserve information leaflets
  • Your company can make a real difference to your local environment
