Join us for the exhilarating 30 Days Wild challenge, presented by Sheffield & Rotherham Wildlife Trust in collaboration with a national initiative from The Wildlife Trusts. Throughout the entire month of June, we invite you to do one wild thing per day to connect with the wonders of nature.

What is 30 Days Wild?

Step into the enchanting world of 30 Days Wild, The Wildlife Trusts’ annual initiative that encourages individuals and families to engage with nature daily. By dedicating a little time each day throughout June, you’ll experience the transformative power of wildlife encounters, nurture your curiosity, and develop a deeper appreciation for the natural wonders that surround us.

Why Join 30 Days Wild?

Discover the countless benefits of joining 30 Days Wild and taking part in Sheffield and Rotherham. From boosting your mental and physical well-being to creating lasting memories with loved ones, this immersive experience offers an array of rewards.

Taking part in 30 Days Wild is scientifically proven to make you feel happier, healthier, and more connected to nature. More than three-quarters of a million people got involved with 30 Days Wild across the UK last year, from families and couples, to teachers, care homes and workplaces. Join them this year and rekindle that precious relationship with the natural world. 

Who can take part?

Everyone is invited to take part! Whether you are having a go yourself or taking part as a family, couple or friend group, there is plenty of fun to be had. Additionally, we have tailored packs for Schools and Youth Groups, Care Homes and Workplaces to take part and together engage with nature this June!

How to Get Involved

Participating in 30 Days Wild is easy! Simply sign up and choose your preferred pack delivery method. Once you receive your pack, explore its contents, immerse yourself in the suggested activities, and let your wild journey begin. Share your adventures on social media using #30DaysWild to inspire others and connect with fellow nature enthusiasts.

Search #30DaysWild on X (Twitter), Facebook and Instagram to see what wild activities people have got up to in previous years. 

How can I continue connecting with nature and help wildlife beyond 30 Days Wild?

From creating wildlife-friendly spaces in your garden to becoming active within your local green spaces there are plenty of small actions you can take for nature. For more inspiration, take a look at our Nature Recovery Toolkit.

If you’d like to get more involved consider volunteering with Sheffield & Rotherham Wildlife Trust – there are plenty of practical activities from nature-friendly gardening to helping look after our nature reserves for wildlife.

Additionally, supporting Sheffield & Rotherham Wildlife Trust with a membership or donation really helps us to help look after nature and wild spaces in our region. Any amount is gratefully received.

Who are The Wildlife Trusts

The Wildlife Trusts is a grassroots movement, made up of 46 individual Wildlife Trusts operating in every corner of the UK, Alderney and the Isle of Man. Collectively we care for 2,300 incredible wild places, from remote woods and wild rivers to inner city pockets of nature. By taking part in 30 Days Wild, you can help us to achieve our mission of bringing people closer to nature.
