Connect with nature to boost mental health
It is estimated that 17.1 million working days were lost due to work-related stress, depression or anxiety last year, which accounts for 54% of all days lost (Labour Force Survey, 2023). However, for every £1 spent on wellbeing, a company will see an average return of £4.70 in increased productivity (Deloitte, 2024).
In 2023, 84% of employees said improving wellbeing was their top priority, with most saying their wellbeing worsened during the year. Mental health is more important than ever for individuals and companies and there is strong evidence that connecting with nature can help.Sheffield & Rotherham Wildlife Trust’s knowledge of nature connectiveness and experience of delivering evidence based wellbeing programmes allows us to offer you and your colleagues a range of wellbeing packages to aid mental and physical health amongst you and your colleagues.
“Time spent with the Sheffield and Rotherham Wildlife Trust can be the antidote to unproductive busyness, reconnecting us to what matters most, including our connection with nature.”–Dr David Fong, Clinical Psychologist & SRWT Wellbeing Supporter.
