Sheffield & Rotherham Wildlife Trust has been a part of my life for many years, through membership and enjoying its nature reserves in my childhood, and now with my own children.

My mum instilled in me from a young age the wondrous benefits that a walk in nature can bring to your mental health and an understanding of the world in which we are connected. After attending the Restore Nature Now march in London, I recognised a need to be more actively engaged in protecting and restoring nature and engaging others to champion for it. I have been searching for suitable opportunities to do this and becoming a trustee for SRWT who work FOR nature, felt like a way that I could support meaningful, impactful action.

Along with my passion for nature, with over 19 years experience in Delivery Management and as a current Director of a digital agency I have built a number of skills that I believe will support me in the role of Trustee (specifically its Strategic Transformations listed in the Bringing Nature Back Strategy).

Skills include:
● Implementation of Digital Transformation utilising User Centered Design methodology.
● Driving and Implementing Organisational Change, leading and facilitating Organisation Business Goals and Strategy Definition for continued growth.
● Leading Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Strategy Teams including developing inclusion initiatives.
● Developing relevant HR policies and ensuring that organisations listen to and respond to team members.
● Leading Line Management teams including training and direct reporting.
● Leading the engagement, implementation and support of Work Experience placements, Placement Students, T-Level students including mentoring at Sheffield UTC
