Introducing Our New Chief Executive

We are delighted to share the exciting news that Ed Tripp has been appointed as the new Chief Executive of Sheffield & Rotherham Wildlife Trust, following Liz Ballard’s departure in June.

Ed brings with him a wealth of experience from his current role as Director of EMEC Ecology (East Midlands Environmental Consultants) – the consultancy arm of Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust.

He has a strong background in a range of Wildlife Trust activities, including extensive work with young people. Above all, he is deeply passionate about wildlife and conservation.

“I’m honoured to be joining Sheffield & Rotherham Wildlife Trust as Chief Executive. With over 20 years of volunteering and working within the wildlife charity sector – including my time at Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust, most recently as Consultancy Director of their Environmental Consultancy and as Senior Leader – I’m passionate about building a wilder future for people and nature. I look forward to working with our dedicated staff, volunteers, partners and supporters to protect and restore wildlife across our region.”

We are very much looking forward to welcoming Ed in early autumn and beginning a new chapter for the Trust.
