Free Wild Wellbeing sessions launched to support communities through the winter months1 December, 2025 1 December, 2025 The Winter Wild Wellbeing programme, delivered by Sheffield & Rotherham Wildlife Trust, gives adults the chance to step away from busy routines and spend gentle, guided time outdoors. Participants can explore how nature connection helps lift mood, rebuild balance, and reduce the impact of winter pressures on overall wellbeing. Cassa Townsend, the Trust’s Programme Coordinator, explains: “Sometimes we all need a little help to escape the winter blues. Stepping away from screens and schedules, and into the calm of nature is proven to help support your wellness – even in the depths of winter!” Sessions run once a month at locations in Sheffield, Rotherham, Barnsley and Doncaster between now and March 2026. They are suitable for anyone aged over 18, including those experiencing sickness absences from work or looking to strengthen their wellbeing through time outside. Thanks to support from the South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority’s ‘Health and Growth Accelerator’ Fund (aimed at supporting the wellbeing of people mainly of working age) each session is free to attend!
