Exploring Wetlands
Explore the wildlife and landscapes to be found at a local wetland! This two-hour workshop will allow pupils to experience pond dipping and mini-beast hunting, as well as learn about flooding and how wetlands like Centenary Riverside help protect our homes and provide a home for nature at the same time! Centenary Riverside is a hidden gem in an urban jungle with lagoon, pond, river and wildflower meadow habitats to explore.

Habitat Studies
Investigate two habitats choosing from pond, woodland and heath, to find out what creatures live there. For KS2 we learn to identify and classify creatures as well as looking at their behaviour and food choices.

Art in the Landscape at Stoneface Creative
Be Inspired and Get Creative!
Discover the sculptures of well-known local artist and stone sculptor Andrew Vickers through an exclusive tour of the Woodland Gallery art trail, where the boundaries between art and nature are dissolved. Create your own art using both natural and man-made resources, and discover, through the interpretation of art, the story of the Great Sheffield Flood, and the City of Steels industrial past. Perfect for organised groups such as Scouts and Home Educators.

Life on the Farm
Visit a working dairy farm and find out what daily life looks like on the farm through an informative tour and a pupil-led ‘Interview with a Farmer’ activity. Gain an understanding of different food supply chains; from a hands on milking experience with Molly the Cow, making (and tasting!) your own butter, through to enjoying an ice cream made from the milk produced by the cows you will meet.
