We can help you for FREE:

  • Step 1- Land assessment visit
We will arrange a site visit to discuss your objectives and what support you need. We will look at the suitability of your site and any obvious site constraints, for example power lines, ditches and site access. We will also help to identify whether any specialist advice is required.
  • Step 2- Bespoke woodland design
Using a multi-disciplinary approach, we will  help you to achieve your objectives, whilst ensuring positive environmental impacts. We will design a woodland according to UK Forestry Standards that will thrive now and in the future.
  • Step 3- Help with grants and paperwork
We can provide advice on the grants available and help you with any applications, including the regulatory process. There are potential funds that will cover up to 100% of actual costs and annual maintenance payments of £400 per hectare for 15 years.
  • Step 4- Support with tree establishment
We can provide support and advice for the delivery of your project. If required we can also help you find contractors and any other resources to undertake the planting works.

What we need from you

  • A suitable area of land that can be planted with trees and shrubs.
  • Any relevant information about your land, for example any existing agri-environment schemes.

We’ve also got a wide range of technical and professional expertise across the wider South Yorkshire Woodland Partnership, so if you need additional support, we can help you access it for FREE. At the end of this process you will have a well-designed, suitably funded new woodland.
