The health benefits from nature connection are well recognised and we have been offering a programme of training for 2024-25 (the third year of training offered across South Yorkshire.) Sessions have been FREE and have been open to anyone who has conversations with people as part of their role about wellbeing and support, such as Social Prescribers, Link Workers, GPs, Health Champions, Community Workers from Community Development organisations, Health staff, Physiotherapists, Nurses, Carers and Support PAs.
We are hopeful for further funding to be able to offer more of this training in to the future – if you would be interested, or would like to know more, please email greenprescribing@wildsheffield.com

Topics covered:Throughout each session we give opportunities for questions and discussion of relevant topics. These are a great opportunity for people to talk through their ideas and test out their learning as we progress through the topics. Sometimes we find new topics to include which we build into the subsequent training sessions – do come with any ideas or questions!
